Wow, I just got banned from another board and I have no idea why.

I had ankle surgery a few weeks ago and I found a health board that deals with that. I posted a few times about my surgery and then once about a funny Pinterest board I made about being in a cast. They banned me for "advertising". WTH? Must have been the Pinterest post, but they could just say "off topic" and lock or delete if they wanted to stick to really technical, medical topics. I don't even know if it was the Pinterest post that did it. The admin would not tell me when I enquired. They were actually quite rude, even though my email was polite. I have managed to be here for many years with only a few posts even deleted and post on many other individual interest boards productively. Weird that I was deemed such a trouble maker that I warranted banning at this one board. Sigh..... Oh well, just venting. Not like I would go back after that anyway.

From what I hear, you won't know if you get PPR'd here either. Lionessa May 2012 #1
I thought maybe they made a mistake or my account was hacked. wildeyed May 2012 #4

Forum mods don't tend to give a crap whether you understand or not. Once bounced they expect you to stay gone so why would you need to know what you did wrong.

Maybe they thought I was not who I was claiming to be..... Another special interest board I belong to requires you to email the owners directly with a list of your interests and the related organizations you belong to to get posting privileges. Seems like that would really keep the membership down, but I guess they have their reasons.
