(13,661 posts)Steven Spielberg's messing with my head - I couldn't even see the commercials without crying. And I'm not the only one.
Are there awful horse/animal pain/death scenes? If so, I can't watch it.
Also, does it feel like propaganda? I feel like so many war-themed movies these days are boosters for the US military...

It was a good movie. I think you can find and anti-war message in it.

she at my mom's for the weekend and I wouldn't say that it was appropriate for a 7 year old. Maybe 10.
Not a lot of blood but there is alcoholism and lots of war (no man's land) stuff.

(28,394 posts)I can't stand that they had to send their horses off to war. Breaks my heart. Same with the dogs of World War II. Can you even imagine doing that?
