that time period.

Slanted heavily towards free expression. People expressed themselves through their clothes. They weren't trying to impress someone else.

...no ripped denim jeans! Those were the days. In 1958, I was in San Francisco and every woman I saw had on a dress or dress suit. I really miss the days of girls and women not wearing denim.
