I have 3 Wilson Warbler in my yard-Never seen 'em here before!

I thought someone lost a flock of canaries. These are bright yellow songbirds with a rakish black cap on the males.

Google for image as they are small & far off. But in my area-Near Portland Oregon-I have never seen one before.

And now they are gone.

Oh well I had a good view with binoculars.

PS-1st year I'm keeping suet out for woodpeckers. It feeds so much better than seeds and I'm being blessed with flickers & small local peckers.

At least the feathered variety are a blessing. Can't say much about the Republican variety as I shoo them away.

I used to live on the spring migration flight path for a bunch of them. They'd usually show up right around Mother's Day, and then they were gone. My favorites were the American Redstart and the Black Throated Blue Warbler, which would fly low to the ground, looking almost like a butterfly.
