I was a cat guy throughout childhood... Until I adopted my first dog 10 years ago... Dog's facial expressions really facilitate bonding. Humans are hardwired to respond to facial expressions. That said... I love both.

There is a HUGE difference: IMO, cats have staff; dogs have family.

I dearly love both of my pets. The cat shows affection the dog shows soooooooooooo much love!

or people who live alone, or who are shut-in or not well-off, since cats don't require walking and are relatively less expensive to care for. If you're old, alone, ill or poor you might be more unhappy for those reasons. The cat might even make you less unhappy than you might be otherwise.

Kittens and puppies are delightful. And you simply can’t beat the amazing dynamic of having both at the same time. Especially when they love each other.
