whines about the verdict? I do!

(33,688 posts)as a free-for-all in a lunatic asylum where the inmates have all been pumped full of methedrine and heavily armed. Al Capone had quieter and more civil gang wars in 1920s Chicago.
To paraphrase Charles Emerson Winchester, it is much like standing on one's head in a barrel full of live squid.
But it's fun to stick a toe in the water now and then.

(23,379 posts)then I go to H&M to see if the poster (alertee?) whines about the verdict.
Bonus if someone whines about my juror comment!

(20,277 posts)I filled up my trash can today. It got particularly nasty over the weekend, making it necessary to start numersous threads about the same crap.

(1,986 posts)Sure...you're above that shit. You don't need that! But you are curious...certainly you're strong enough to never get hooked, so you go down there...just to check it out. You see a few people you recognize so you chat em up a bit...and then they pass you the pipe...WHAM!!! That's it you're hooked! You can't get enough! Nobody makes any sense...your gums are bleeding...Your eyes are bloodshot and wont stay in focus...You haven't slept in days and all you can think about is the jury decision! Everyone says they can quit at any time, but they don't. They never do.

but I have read certain obituaries with great satisfaction.
wow, she managed to stick around for so long I figured she was immune. I also had no real problems with her so the thread isn't as much fun as I was hoping...
I was on a bunch of juries for her and had come to the conclusion she had pissed off enough people that just about every post she wrote got an alert whether it was justified or not. I think it became a vicious circle. I never really had any problems with her. And I kind of admire her ability to stay standing despite incredible opposition. She was/is a pretty strong person. Wouldn't mind having a drink with her at all.

(8,492 posts)In fact, there was one last week I was certain to see a thread on. Never happened. I guess the alerter got a clue after reading the jury comments.

Sometimes if it's an alert from one of the Perpetually Offended.

(36,395 posts)It'd be a win-win situation. One can whine about how your own post was unfairly hidden or bitch about how the dumb jurors didn't do their job and hide it.
