2. I was house-sitting, taking care of a little white dog named Spunky, when I learned

that my friend who owned the place had full blown AIDS, and it was terminal. I started to sob. Spunky came over and comforted me. Up 'til then I thought I was a cat person. That's the afternoon I became a dog person. Still love cats dearly, but: ahh, dogs!
