Tell me something encouraging. I'm looking for a bridge to jump off of.

Not really, and I'm not making light of people who have these genuine thoughts on a regular basis.

Just some good old Lounge encouragement would be nice...

Remember that we all love and cherish you...

As do your friends and relatives out in the real world...

I know you're not going to do this, but a little reminder of how awful our lives would be without you alongside all of us...

Well. It's true.

Plan a way to hype the grands on sugar right before you leave on the next visit. Or get a drum set for the grands. I know, I'm evil sometimes

To make it an even dozen, here are eleven more that I found on the Good News Network. There are plenty more stories.

1.Researchers Have Finally Created Simple Eco-Friendly Machine That Recycles Used Diapers
2.Instead of Tossing it Back, 5,000 Indian Fishermen Now Collect Ocean Plastic to Build Roads and Prosperity
3.Lyft is Giving Free Rides to Cancer Patients Headed to Medical Appointments
4.15-Year-old Girl Creates Simple, Revolutionary Device That Can Generate Electricity From Rainwater
5.Kind Cop Replaces Stolen Groceries for Man Who Fainted From Diabetes in the Parking Lot
6.Jimmy Carter Delivers a New Clinic to Small Town That Has Been Without a Physician
7.World’s First Pay-What-You-Can Grocery Store! It Saves Food Otherwise Destined for Trash
8.Dog Waits With Missing 3-Year-old in Cornfield Overnight Until Help Arrives
9.In Just 8 Years, Conservation Measures Increased Jaguar Population by 20%
10.Denver Schools Are Ensuring That No Kids Go Hungry By Offering Free Meals Over the Summer
11.While Pit Bull Rescues Family From House Fire, She Pulls Baby to Safety By Her Diaper

Also, I plan to live another 50 or so years. The is my country and I'm much too much of a stubborn Irish lady to give up. The right wants people to be fearful, hateful and ignorant. They want us to give up. Fuck em. There are more good people in the world than bad. Hope and love are still alive.

Now, I'm going to make an appointment to give blood tomorrow. I feel the need to a little something to help someone.

The way this week has been for all of us, politically, personally, etc, I’m sure that line is getting longer by the minute.

Are we talking Verrazano Narrows, Golden Gate, Brooklyn (a classic), or will any bridge do?

I’m sort of partial to the Passyunk Avenue bridge. It’s not real high, but whatever is in the Schuykill River will definitely finish the job.

This is slightly less than all of the uranium already mined and doing nothing.

We could double the world's per capita average continuous power consumption, about 2500 watts (which is 1/4 of what the average American consumes), shut every oil well, close very coal mine, and every gas field, and power more than 7 billion human beings for centuries with this uranium.

Most people don't get it, I think, but as a scientist, hoping for smarter future generations, including some of the kids I know very well, I find this very encouraging.

I wish I could believe you would find this encouraging.

Life is very beautiful, but as I'm finding out, very short. Being alive is a tremendous privilege. I wish everyone could understand that as I do now, but apparently we can't. Once I couldn't, but I do now.
