And my cat likes to sleep kind of like that, too - maybe it reminded me. At the moment he's sleeping in the hammock of the "cat tree," curled up just like that...

Those and reticulated pythons are simply unsuited to pet-style captivity.

Snakes have never bothered me and this one looks quite tame and rather pretty. One of my first summer jobs was driving a swan boat at an amusement park and there was a water snake who liked to sun himself on the dam at the end of the "river." Management freaked out at the snapping turtles we'd encounter (afraid of lawsuits) so my Dad helped me "rehome" several of them that summer. As for the snake, I'd quickly shoo him back into the water if I was afraid anyone was watching.
