The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThe group I'm in is performing Forrest's "Requiem for the Living", Rutter's "Te Deum"
and a couple of miscellaneous pieces this weekend (New Ark Chorale, Saturday 4/14, 3pm, St. Paul's Lutheran in Newark, DE). If anybody is in the area and looking for something to do on Saturday, stop by to listen. The concert is almost 90 min. long with a finger-food reception afterwards.
Here's the best recording of the Requiem that I could find on YouTube:

We will be featuring 3 world premiers of pieces written for our annual composition contest.

(11,940 posts)I think I have you beat though - 36 yrs I started singing with them when I first graduated high school.
Have a great concert!!! I hope you have good attendance. I'm kind of worried we won't. Saturday looks like the first real Spring-like day around here with temps in the 70's and 80's. Our patriotic concert on Memorial Day weekend always has a larger attendance.
