Love this commercial !!!

1. Yep.

I bribed mine annually to leave the decor alone. 😂

2. I put up a tree...

in 1997 with my first adopted cat ever, she swatted an ornament, gave her a stern no and she just laid under the tree after that. In 2000 I had 2 cats, put it up on the kitchen table and barricaded it so there was no way they could get to it. No more trees after that, especially with the 2 cats I have now

3. I loved the battle.

Even though I knew I was going to lose the war.

Plastic ornaments on the lower branches. Fail! They climbed up to find the breakable ones.

Spray the tree with a eucalyptus scented repellent. Fail! We all had clearer sinus’s to attempt to repair the tree, though. (Which was kind of nice.)

Use a smaller tree on a pedestal with a baby fence. Fail! Duh, cats don’t respect fences!

I have years and years more stories to tell. Yet, I’d give anything to have just one more Christmas with either of my little stinkers. I loved the battle even though I ultimately knew I’d lose the war.

4. I cannot do the battle anymore...

So I hang some Christmas lights around the apartment, and hang a Christmas wall display over my computer desk, so I have a mini battle to keep them from swatting lights and one or two shiny things that hang from the wall display. Looking at your user name are cats herders? My younger cat herds boxes when I bring them home, she pushes the boxes with her head from room to room, I just sit watching her and I am just mesmerized.

I saw this as a loose euphemism for Democrats, and I personally love herding cats. Of all species. It seemed to fit me at the time.

I think this commercial came out in 2016, I saw it on facebook and watched it over and over! I don't have a TV, I am wondering if they are still airing this ad again this year, if not they should !

7. I spray anti-cat spray around the tree every day.

There are some unbreakable ornaments on the lower branches. I don't care if he takes them and bats them around.

But I leave the vacuum cleaner out, visible, standing sentry. He hates that thing. If I turn it on, he leaves.

So far, he has not crashed the tree.

12. I just got a new Kenmore canister vacuum off of ebay...

I have not opened the box yet, the box stands 2 feet high and the cats love to sit on top of that box. They would be disappointed if I took that box away! I have another Kenmore upright and a Bissell canister, I think the Bissel is going to get decorated. Of course, if I do decorate I will post pics.

16. When I was a kid, my parents put up a tree when we had a litter of 8 week old kittens

They assaulted the tree in force - took it down - and scattered.

The looks on their little faces was priceless.

Can you imagine what a kitty bonanza something like that would be? Christmas tree, toys ribbons, and lots of food! My cats would go nuts.

I would build a room like this every Christmas and let my cats have at it, with Dads supervision of course. Everything about this commercial is really spot on, the continuity, editing, music, cat sounds etc. I love it !
