1. This can go one of two ways for that man.

A) He is going to get blacklisted by Hollywood; or

B) He is going to be top on Hollywood's list if the script ends with the Russian bad guy dying by some horrible method.

Could go either way.

2. We can see the danger propaganda poses for any country where it is allowed to flourish.

We have propaganda now in our media where everyone chooses which outlet that suits their opinions. Unpleasant facts are now just dismissed if they don’t fit the viewers views. We cannot even be sure of what is fact or fiction.

We must demand reform and require truth in news reporting. No more “it’s entertainment not news“ defense. If we do not we are lost. There are limits that can be imposed on free speech such as not being able to shout fire in a crowded theater if there is no fire for obvious reasons. The reasons are just as obvious with our situation now. We are losing our Democracy!

3. How do you propose to control truth and lies in media?

It’d be akin to whack-a-mole.
All the YouTubers, podcasts, etc.
As well as churches who often preach lies and hate and Q.
And now that every person with a phone is a source of publication.
And anyone can access any kind of news from anywhere around the world.
Look how many years it took Twitter to ban certain people.
And republicans would fight it tooth and nail.

This actresses father is no stupid guy. He is a successful actor on the world stage, with access to any kind of information and news. His fellow Russian and far more successful actor Arnold Schwarzenegger publicly denounced the Russian invasion and calling it out as what it is in a very powerful honest and widely distributed video.

He has chosen fiction, why I do not know. As do many.
Some people are either brainwashed, dumb dumbs, want someone to blame for their shitty life, or to be honest, just plain have an evil side. Or maybe something wrong with their brain.
I don’t see how you can watch a hospital, grade school, bread line, etc….being blown to rubble and conclude that Russia is helping out Ukraines nazis, it’s just plain insane to think that way.

Sociopathy and psychopathy is more common than we know.
Idk what any answers are.
Yeah, we are on the brink of losing our democracy.
We’re living in scary times.

So much time trying to understand these times we are living in seems futile.

4. While no system is perfect the the FCC regulates our airwaves and cable.

They could enforce this. Require the advertising departments to be wholly separate from the news divisions. The 3 networks used to do this voluntarily back in the days of Walter Cronkite. I am sure there are ways to do this but I am not an expert.

Where facts are muddy they must say so. It would at least stop the outright lies we see regularly on Fox, OAN, and Newsmax. The Big Lie is one of those clear cases where 70 courts have ruled there is no evidence.

5. Let's say the FCC did regulate lies,

Most Qanon people I know about get their information from their church.
Is the FCC going to go into churches.
And what about podcasters, YouTube?
Television is not the main source of information any longer.

6. TV is a huge part of the problem, but obviously not all of it.

If we could make it work though it would bring the propaganda down to manageable levels. Many elderly are propaganda victims from mainly TV viewing. A big reduction in propaganda would solve a lot of problems. What is your alternative?

7. Yes tv is a big one. But there's so many reason that's not possible....

The FCC doesn’t regulate cable or satellite tv channels.

Freedom of speech.
Freedom of press.
Peaceful assembly.

Do only democrats get to decide what truth is?
Nearly half the country would say liberal news is lies.
