Sturgis "superspreader". I read in Guardian, Mother Jones, the Economist and others a short while back that 250,000 new cases could be attributed to that motorcycle rally specifically but that spreader number has not been "peer reviewed". Therefore that number is not true.

Logic says that during s pandemic 250,000-300,000 people who attended this 4-day event in S. Dakota and were basically maskless would become a super spreader rally. With the event over all the people return to their respective states of origin and are sick. This is true for asymptomatic spreading also, right?. This OP shows that numbers have gone up after this event and with other states relaxing their rules on the medical protocol(s) during this pandemic. Trump rallies bars open etc. And to send an innocent child K-12 back to school is the height of criminal malignant disinterest in the welfare of human beings.

It doesn't care what we believe, our politics, our religion. It doesn't care how we feel...happy, sad, frightened. It doesn't care if we're tired, quarantine weary, board or just irritated. It doesn't care about our freedom, our lifestyle, our history or our ethos. It just replicates. That's all it does. And if it kills us during that process of replication, so what? Its only care is not to kill us too quickly before it can spread to another host.

When you strip away all the human stuff that really exists only in the gray matter between our ears, controlling Covid-19 isn't complicated. Limit your personal contacts, wear a mask, keep your distance, wash your hands and isolate those infected until their infection runs its course. Rinse and repeat until a vaccine is available. Add the human stuff back in and it becomes infinitely more complicated, with humans being humans...incredibly stupid.
