The president* is far from the only corrupt, dishonest and evil member of that party. They all need to be voted out of office for good.

trumpig must have had a reckoning with their conscience for wanting to vote for Biden.
That said, how many of them will be questioning whether to remain in the "R" party?

In part it may depend on how the GOP reacts to this unbelievable catastrophe it has inflicted on the US.

If there is a genuine effort to suppress Trumpism and veer toward something like decency and moderation--picking candidates like Eisenhower and Wilkie--then it may recover the majority of these folks. But I think such a response is pretty much impossible. Just the fact that I had to go back to the 1940s and '50s to find decent GOP presidential candidates tells me how far wrong that party has gone.

The party leadership now, on the national level and in almost every state, is simply a dysfunctional collection of bigots and grifters, and there's no way to dislodge them. Turning over the reigns of government to them would be, and has been like turning it over to the Five Families, with Al Capone as president.

Maybe now these folks will be more open to actually listening to Democrats and Democratic proposals, rather than just swallowing without question the right wing swill so many of them have been fed all their lives.

We can only hope.
