Whenever I see Herman Cain, I always think of this ad. It's still one of the creepiest advertisements I've ever seen.

(52,489 posts)That's the version the guy who wrote the ad puts in front of the candidate, saying this is the idea for the ad, except you stand there and say basically what I said.
And Cain said nah, we'll just run your demo.

(42,862 posts)That's so mean. I know. But I just don't care any more. The fewer Trump supporters, the better. Nobody brought this on them except for themselves. It's their own fault.
Fuck 'em.

(21,713 posts)Cheeto, as you know, is openly hoping this pandemic could somehow give him the pretext to steal and/or cancel the elections outright.
But ultimately, it could keep so many older white voters home (for their sake, I hope so), that Biden's margin will probably be that much greater.
Many older white voters are Democrats too, of course - but statistically, their staying home hurts the GOP more. No denying that.

(21,713 posts)I remember people saying at the time that Cain stumbled on the idea from playing SimCity 4 - which, you'll recall, had 9% default tax rates each on residential, commercial, and industrial activities.
That's Nobel-caliber economics compared to Cheeto though.

(12,174 posts)I used to hear him on the radio sometimes when checking the traffic update on WSB radio in Atlanta. He was an affable asshole -- it was easy to see how people could get sucked in by his charm. Underneath it all, though, he was just another greedy anti-labor CEO.
