Now that he's "out-ted" on the subject, he's giving his alibi here in real time once again but only for his base-goon consumption. He knows that his final fate and legacy will be a political one so this is his plausible deniability.

And, his hands! Oh, those fucking hands putting up the fake invincible shield again. But, I did like the magic wand gesture about the "Flu" going away. Ok, I digress!
