Rachel Maddow explains that the Supreme Court's ruling in Trump v. Vance means that Donald Trump will have to make his case in New York courts as a regular citizen, without the presidential immunity he insisted was his. Aired on 7/9/2020.

They rejected his ridiculous claim of absolute immunity... but closed with a list of claims he could make that are not foreclosed by this ruling and go beyond what a “regular” person could argue.

“... he can challenge the subpoena as an attempt to influence the performance of his official duties, in violation of the Supremacy Clause. And he can argue that compliance with a particular subpoena would impede his constitutional duties
