1. When I was in nursing school, they were all Annies.

The sex change started to happen around the early 90s, I saw the male Reference Men in ACLS, I suppose the PTB thought they were bigger and easier to intubate.

Because of Reference Man being used to determine the size of all sorts of things, being female or a shorter ethnic minority means going through life being just plain uncomfortable, even if you lead a charmed life and are never endangered by things that were designed for somebody who's nothing like you.

2. I have a real problem with vehicles that have airbags

They are designed for men, weighing approximately 180 pounds - and approximately 510, not wearing a seatbelt.

They will kill me If they deploy. Probably breaking my neck.

Am 52 and 95 pounds. Scary stuff.

3. In the mid-80's in Connecticut it was CPR Annies

So there was no sense of breast aversion. There was a common misperception that males suffered cardiac events at a much higher rate. I get no feeling it was about physiology-just common wisdom which was incorrect. As to airbags I would rather see a design centered around a lower height and weight even though I am a larger and heavier man. I would hope to never be in that severe an accident but expect a system set to save a middle ground-sat 5' 6" and 125lb would occasionally save a guy my size and almost never kill a smaller driver...

4. They should take into account different nose shapes too

for making adjustable PPE that creates a proper seal. Some folks have thin pointy noses, others have wider flatter noses. Maybe a face shield may work better than goggles for some people.
