as they are looking at doing in Minneapolis provides a golden oopportunity to toss out the existing union contract and renegotiate in a new environment.

I strongly believe in unions, but I also can't avoid seeing that the current police union represents everything about unions that can go wrong. Really, it's as much the union as the force that needs to be imagined anew
