in mid '68, we GIs were entertained by a rock group that covered "We Gotta Get Out…"

You never heard a more full-throated, heartfelt accompaniment to the chorus by any audience.

In 1970 I was lucky enough to meet Eric Burdon in a recording session. Nice, and talented young man. It was one of those things you immediately think of when a song comes on. Some of my favorite protest songs are by CSN.
