Democratic presidential candidate, Joseph Biden, Jr., links up with Stephen Colbert for a frank conversation about the nation's leadership crisis, which is compounding the suffering caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In this full, uninterrupted interview, the former Vice President walks through his plan to beat Donald Trump in November and says he will be ready on day one to take over the government's pandemic response, restore economic security with moves like relieving student loan debt, and mend fences with America's beleaguered partners overseas.

(297,177 posts)Colbert can be funny but he's very serious about getting the truth out.. especially something vital like real information.
He knows how much bullshite is being spewed in trump's fake infomercials.

(205,240 posts)He obviously follows the news very closely and isn't shy about sharing his opinions, LOL. I remember one time when he was in the middle of taping his monologue when there was breaking news - think it was that Trump was meeting with Kim Jong-un - so he scrapped the rest of his script and ad libbed the rest. It's important to him to be current on the latest every day. And I'm sure that he'd be perfectly happy having all political guests.

We need reality based news and opinions to counteract the deluge of FAKE news being spewed from trump and his cult.

(205,240 posts)This really was a stellar interview - and of course it didn't hurt that political junkie Stephen Colbert asked all the right questions and devoted the entire show to his special guest - but it gave me a lot of hope, too!
