Let the fever run its course, is the advise, just as outlined in this video.

3. Yep, fever is your body's immune response trying to make itself inhospitable to the invader.

Sometimes you HAVE to mute it, but don't if you don't absolutely have to.

4. Yes, but covid-19 requires 170 degrees to kill it. Fevers over 103 are dangerous in themselves.

A fever that goes much beyond that kills. Why do you think ER's immerse fever victims in ice baths? Your posts on this issue are highly misleading and could kill a DUer or two if they take it too seriously. I strongly urge you to delete these posts.

5. Not horribly dangerous, unless people aren't able to hydrate

Low grade fevers are generally helpful, that 100-102F you might have with a particularly bad cold. The new guideline is not to treat any fever under 102F. The guideline says that if an adult with a temperature of 102F or more is uncomfortable, the fever should be treated.

Any fever under 102F os seen as a good thing and not treated. Patients treated with antipyretics generally dropped into the low grade fever range, not normal range, but it varied.

I've gone to 105 with peritonitis. I don't recommend it.

You have to get to the 105-6 range before a hospital will put you onto a cooling blanket and keep saline solution on ice at the bedside should your temperature not drop.
