Read the “15 Days to Slow the Spread “ plan that Pence touts every briefing. It clearly states that employees in critical areas have an obligation to show up for work. I believe we are more than halfway through that and it is clear Trump expects them to go to work without the tools needed to perform their jobs safely.

CNN is reporting today that Trump’s approval rating is at 49%. Half the people surveyed believe that he is doing a good job. Half! Registered Republicans make up from 30 to 35% of voters, so this percentage means that Independents, and probably some Democrats, approve of Trump’s handling of the coronavirus. What is Trump’s magic? Seriously, if Obama had done even half the things Trump has done or said, his approval ratings would have been in the single digits. Eleven people contracted ebola in the US, and two of them died. The media hammered Obama.

The numbers change hourly, but at least 786 people have died from covid-19, and over 55,000 have been infected. Yet the media continues to treat Trump with kid gloves. Everyone praises him. Why? I know expectations are low for him, but when he changed his “tone” at news conferences, suddenly he was a hero. I am angry and disgusted at the free pass this man gets, and I simply do not understand why. The fact that he is white, male, and maybe rich should bot matter to the media, but they treat him like royalty.

handled 9-11 right after the event, even though he allowed it to happen by ignoring warnings from advisers? A lot of Americans' mind set is to rally around the dear leader in time of crisis. Maybe by November when there are 150 million sick and 150 thousand dead, his approval rating will drop.
