GRAMMY-winning musician and author Michael Stipe, who has two new singles out as a solo artist, tells Stephen about a time in the 1990s when he told Donald Trump to "shut up" because he was talking loudly during a concert.




Michael Stipe Got Back Into Making Music After Being Inspired By Extinction Rebellion

Michael Stipe was inspired to start writing music again after learning about the global environmental movement, Extinction Rebellion. Michael tells Stephen Colbert that the first year of proceeds from his new solo single will go to further that group's mission of using nonviolent civil disobedience to bring about government action on climate change.
