My main purpose in posting this is to question the narrative about costs for programs that would benefit most of us in some way and help to build the country back up by empowering the people and not just a selective group.
It seems, when there are programs or changes, (massive or not) that are obviously beneficial to the well-being, safety and economic stability of citizens, we even have people who are not a part of the corporate and bank welfare system still bemoaning the problem of how much it will cost and issues with taxes.
Yet, there are enormous amounts of government dollars being dolled out generously and regularly to those "who matter most". That's my point, here. Who matters most? The message we are getting is that Wall Street, automotive and other manufactures, banks, etc. matter so much that we are willing to put aside human needs and even the stability and strength of the future of our country for this priority that glares bright red in our faces daily now.
The more this continues, the more downhill the whole thing goes while The Spectacle celebrates the boom that you don't get and a little more of the USA dies. It is a slow death for now, but there are thousands of cuts. Stop the bleeding at least and exclusion.
If the United States is going to have any kind of civilized future, this is a necessity, not a mere option.
