This rundown nails it well. My own view is that the very general bandying about of the term, "booming economy" is very misleading and Trump has been taking advantage of that.

It is extremely obvious to me that there are those who are raking in great advantages in their booming economy, but that is not a blanket term that applies to most of us.

If the boom terminology is going to continue to be touted as a factual sign, it may be telling us that, largely, in the mainstream those of us not who are benefiting, or are rapidly losing economic ground, are now being ignored or marginalized for the sake of maintaining a facade. In other words, the middle-class and poor just don't matter much or factor into what boom actually is conveying.
