Stephen Colbert: Guest Nicolle Wallace

Nicolle Wallace: It's Getting Harder To Believe This Is All A Plot Against The President

The host of "Deadline White House" on MSNBC, Nicolle Wallace, points out that most of the key figures testifying in the impeachment inquiry are Republicans, were appointed by Donald Trump, and are testifying under subpoena, which pokes some major holes in the GOP's contention that the proceedings are a plot by Democrats to oust the President.

Nicolle Wallace: My Parents Think Donald Trump Belongs On Mt. Rushmore

Nicolle Wallace, host of "Deadline White House" on MSNBC, spends time with people who have many different opinions about the President, and she has found a way to live with the discord.

So I assume she grew up in a household where Republicans were considered more honorable and/or had better policies than the Democrats, at a time when Republicans weren't as vile as they are now.

In her former political career, Nicolle Wallace served as the White House Communications Director during the presidency of George W. Bush and in his 2004 re-election campaign. Wallace also served as a senior advisor for John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. She appeared frequently on network and cable news programs as the campaign's spokesperson and defender.[4]

The lady is a Republican, the kind that used to be around Wash. DC. Now only cretins remain. She is a Republican who actually loves America.

I love what she said on Colbert: that she is still registered as a Republican because she can barely renew her drivers license, but she isn't a practicing Republican.

she worked for in 2008 because Sarah Palin was so inept, incompetent, unstable, and dangerous. Seriously, that must've hurt. It will be interesting to see what she does once that thing infesting the White House is gone.

She can't be a republican with a laugh like that! She laughs B-I-G-L-Y, and I like that in a person.

But I think America is made up of the most party-loyal families in the world. And that spreads into whole neighbourhoods. Where if your family is Republican, voting R every time is your patriotic duty. That may be how Nicolle grew up. If her family wore blue, she'd no doubt make a great Democrat.

Democrats are a little different. That loyalist streak no doubt exists with families on our side as well, but one of the "disadvantages" of being liberal thinking surely is that because you grow up in the more liberal atmosphere that would include the right to explore other political avenues, ....as every curious young person should explore. Some then may go Green, some may go Independent. Some may choose not to vote, become anarchists. Conservatives tend to adhere more to authoritarian tendencies and will naturally coalesce into a lockstep voting block. This is all a disadvantage to our side of the equation.

Add to that simple math. More babies born to people that home school RW racist religion soaked children than socially conscious urban liberals who limit their family size to one or two. Throw in a monopoly of daytime talk radio ownership in those high procreating Red States and we have a real Idiocracy....

Now if the non voters would get off their butts, and just thought for a second about what they want from government, and be informed of things like there are over 200 bills Democrats have worked on that are siting on Moscow Mitch's desk to be put to debate. From minimum wage raises to bi-partisan gun legislation. The Democratic party proves that sometimes people in government ARE working for a better life for them. And that is our advantage over all those other seemingly overwhelming disadvantages. But we need to get a better way to get that message out. The US would have an overwhelming liberal run government, Congress, and Courts, if most people did the minimum amount of being informed, and then took their right to vote with the reverence it deserves.

That's something that doesn't exist anymore. My parents had all manner of friends and after my father met Shirley Chisholm when a group from downstate spent the day in the city and my Dad was her "guide," he became a lifelong fan. My first vote and support was for Jimmy Carter and my parents never said a thing. I think times have changed and we have become more partisan than in the past, most dramatically since Trump.
