This is happening all over the nation. Companies just go a huge windfall, so what do they do instead of hire or increase wages? They lay people off and force the people that remain behind to take on bigger workloads with no increase in pay. It's sickening. Meanwhile, they all give themselves huge bonuses and stock options.
