(67,782 posts)I love it!
I've been a racing fan for more than 50 years, and love some of the classic race calls. This is one, even if not real.
BTW, there was a wise guy owner about 25 years ago in New York who loved to tongue tie the track announcer. He named one of his horses "Cunning Stunt" (really!!!!) The announcer screwed it up more than once.

(42,862 posts)I thought I'd just about fall out of my chair with laughter the first time I heard it. Because I was laughing (and because the announcer never stopped a beat) I missed some of the names and I had to listen more than once in order to fully appreciate the cleverness of it all.

(67,782 posts)...here's a REAL race from 2010, amazing coincidence that these two horses were in the same race, unless the owners/trainers arranged it that way. The announcer (who is now at the NY tracks) had fun with it.

(42,862 posts)Apparently it's been around for a while. I have friends who email me EVERYTHING they think is funny (often many times it's the same thing from different friends as it makes the rounds)... but this is something I'd NEVER seen before when it arrived in my in-box.
