(204,779 posts)I was particularly impressed with Mayor Pete - he's very smart, extremely likable - and never has a bad interview.

(63,221 posts)I am more impressed by him every time I hear him speak. I also really liked hearing from Elissa Slotkin.
Thanks Rhiannon!

(204,779 posts)Like I said in my other post, Mayor Pete never give a bad interview - he's very smart and extremely likable! I'm not sure if he has the experience to be president this time around, but we're definitely going to be hearing more about him. And I'd trade Elissa Slotkin for my deplorable Rep any day! I'd never heard of her before, but I was very impressed!

It's a silly old trope started by the republicans which I'm really tired of.
I was looking forward to his interview but am now thinking he may be to centrist for my liking.
Anyhow, glad to hear more from him and everyone else on the panel.

(63,221 posts)I am sure it helped him win in his conservative hometown, but it won't fly nationally. Especially if he wants to pick up the big states like NY and CA.

(8,280 posts)I thought he was a bit tough on Mayor Pete but I like Pete's views. I had to go to the states this month and picked up Mayor Pete's book and read half of it on my flight back. He lives in my "hometown" where I was born and even though I knew he was running for POTUS, I didn't think he had a chance. But watching his interviews with these clips and nearly finishing his book, I really like the guy. I was all ready to vote for a woman, any woman, but Pete has been amazing. I hope he gets even better before the debates and will be eyeing those with interest.
It was a great show so thanks again for the clips Rhiannon.

(204,779 posts)My preferences have been with our senators who are running, though I also think we really need their leadership in the Senate the way things are now. But the more I hear from Mayor Pete, the more impressed I am. He's certainly smart and likable and speaks incredibly well. I'm not sure if he's ready for the highest office yet, but I have no doubt that we'll be hearing a lot more from him. The more I hear from him, the more I like him!

(8,280 posts)Hed be great at a cabinet position. With his smarts and military experience and language skills, he could fill one of several posts.
