3. It's the Number Nine Chorus, every end of the year the performance is given in Osaka.

This one is from 2011 and is dedicated to the earthquake and tsunami victims from the disaster earlier that year. A choral group from Sendai participates on the screen. Most of the 10,000 are amateurs. The Ode to Joy is very popular in Japan and you hear it a lot from Christmas to the New Year's.

(way outnumbering the poor orchestra) but that, given the slow speed of sound traveling, they seem to manage to keep it all in sync!

The Spokane Symphony and Chorale have performed it on New Year's Eve for the last 10 years. It's a great way to bring in the new year
