2. Thanks! The interview from the show was available in 3 parts, but this includes everything

Including footage that ran too long to be included on last night's show. I agree it was wonderful to see and hear her again and this was a great interview, was glad to learn this included parts we missed even if we watched the show.

I started reading it right away and couldn't put it down. Usually that only happens with John Sandford's books.

Which he apparently did since they didn't have time to include the entire interview on the show, LOL. And her book sounds just as intelligent and delightful as she is, thanks for the recommendation!

His comments afterward, "She was so inspiring and funny and amazing in every way. I wish she would run for President."

6. Oh, what a terrific show to be in the audience for! Lucky him!

I was actually thinking earlier what a treat it must have been to have been in the audience for her appearance! And especially now that I know that the interview went on much longer than what we saw on TV.

I was in the audience back in the day when it was Letterman's show and I'm not complaining, Dave was great and it was a thrill to see him in person, but the guest was Dr. Phil, LOL. You never know ahead of time. How lucky your son was to see Michelle Obama in person as well as Colbert at his best - it was obvious he enjoyed having her there as much as we did...

Yesterday he called me and was almost not able to speak he was so happy with his good fortune. I think it was a very notable experience for him.

8. That's the thing, you never know who the guest will be ahead of time

And they often change at the last minute. This audience really lucked out - and how wonderful for your son that he was able to be part of it!

No surprise that her book is a winner - just like she is. And I know that this appearance was part of her book tour, but it really was so much more than that - this interview ran so long that they couldn't include all of it on the show, but they made it available online...
