1. Votes are more powerful than prayers

I don't know how many of my fellow union brothers and sisters fell for the lies of the forked tonged Satan who became our president*, but knowing how to vote correctly is far more productive than knowing how to pray correctly.

7. That's way too many union votes for any Republican, let alone Trump
Fri Nov 30, 2018, 11:48 AM

And, in the mid-west, union households went with Trump.

In addition, there are different types of unions. Certainly HERE, SEIU, Teachers and other minority and women dominated unions vote overwhelmingly Democratic (see Nevada), but building trades, teamsters, and in the case of 2016, manufacturing unions voted for Trump in unprecedented numbers. Trump didn't carry Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin without making significant inroads to the UAW membership.

I know. I work for a male, white dominated union and it's a heavy lift to pull many away from Trump. You add police and, to a lesser extent, firefighters to the mix and you can see that unions didn't perform for the Democrats.

51% to 48% sucks. Those numbers need to be at least 60% to 40% in favor of Democrats, otherwise we're cutting our own throats.

And it's not the Democrats responsibility to convince union voters to vote for Dems, it's up to each individual to vote in their, and their families' best interest. These are not stupid people. They should be able to figure this out on their own. If they can't, as in the case of the Farmers and Auto workers, they'll have to learn the hard way.

11. I agree. It's a disgrace President Baby Hands got 48% of the union vote.

And he got those votes despite his lies and racism.

...he got them because of those reasons.

13. Well that's true. I guess I should realize that there are plenty of racists among union membership.

16. Trump's base is racist.

And Trump's approval among white men without a college education is 70%.

What portion of police officers, trade union members, UAW members, teamsters and firefighters are white men without a college education?

2. They had an option!

They had an option, granted it wasn't a best case option, but it would have given them some time!!!

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/apos-buyout-gm-offered-announcing-172700318.html

GM offered voluntary buyouts to roughly 17,700 eligible employees in North America with at least 12 years of service, according to the document. The company was aiming for 8,000 voluntary buyouts among its salaried workers as part of a total headcount reduction of 14,000, spokesman Pat Morrissey confirmed. He said about 2,250 workers accepted severance agreements by the Nov. 19 deadline.

GM is allowing some employees who took the buyouts to leave as early as this coming Saturday with an official last day of Jan. 31 and salary and benefits continuing for six months after that. Executives could also leave in December with an effective last day of Feb. 28 and a full year of salary and benefits, according to the severance materials.

8. How is that creating good American jobs?

Trump guaranteed that no auto plants would close and that, in fact, we'd see new plants being opened up here in the US.

I tend to see the opposite.

3. Sorry but how many of those people voted for Trump? Even after Obama saved their jobs.

BTW But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.
And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

6. Trump was on record that they should have just let the American industry go under.
Fri Nov 30, 2018, 11:16 AM
Nov 2018

“You could have let it go, and rebuild itself, through the free enterprise system,” Trump said. “You could have let it go bankrupt, frankly, and rebuild itself, and a lot of people think that’s the way it should have happened. Or you could have done it the way it went. I could have done it either way. Either way would have been acceptable. I think you would have wound up in the same place.”

But now with President Trump the auto industry gets hit w/much higher costs because of his stupid
trade war and w/Trump and the republicans' tax cut GM gets an economic bonus to move their factories
out of the country.

Now I am from Ohio and I know people like SOME OF THE WORKERS @ the GM plant in Lordstown
and after their jobs got saved they went and voted for Trump because they didn't like a n****r in the
White House and Hillary Clinton was just a d**e b***h. And despite their racism they like their
Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.

and I couldn't begin to tell you how many of my ex-classmates I had to distance myself from on Facebook because they were sure tRump would save Lordstown. I had to quit Facebook because the hatred they showed toward me when I'd try to tell them he was a con man. One of my classmates is a pastor who constantly pushes Ben Shapiro on his congregation. It'so sad to see those people destroyed by their own haterd.

15. Bad news for the economy
Sat Dec 1, 2018, 01:58 AM
Dec 2018

but I hope all the people who are praying there are also praying for the workers in 2 plants closing in Michigan. Those plants are real close to my home and they provide many others with jobs outside of the OEM supply chain. Where will all these good working class people find decent paying jobs? All I heard from repugs before any elections was "Jobs Jobs Jobs"...well where are they? I guess all these closings and layoffs are a sign the economy is booming right? I say the Big 3 start paying taxes and not be subsidized by us any longer, no more corporate welfare!
