(8,445 posts)My house is in total chaos because of some work that's being done, so I have no television for another day or two.
Colbert has a way of making us laugh during these disastrous times. I just love him. Going to see a live show is on my bucket list. A bonus is that we know that -45 often watches.

(205,999 posts)I've been posting these since last year. The humor always makes me feel better and I know that a lot of DUers don't stay up as late and some don't have TV, and we really need all the humor we can get these days!
And I'd love to see him in person, too, he really plays to his audience. I was in the studio audience back in 2008 for both Jon Stewart and David Letterman. Neither had a political guest, Jon Stewart had Judd Apatow and Letterman had Dr. Phil, but it was cool just to see them. And they both came off as really nice guys, they made it clear they appreciated the audience.

I'm not really enamored by celebrities because we're all just people, but there are a handful I'd love to sit and chat with, and Colbert is one of them.

(205,999 posts)And I'm not enamored of celebrities, either. Back in the day I'd watch if there was a guest I wanted to see, these days I tune in for the monologue!

Really appreciate your posts!

(205,999 posts)I can only take so much news - especially with all the recent revelations - so it sure helps to have Stephen and Seth put it in perspective. And you know that's why I started posting them, but little did I know how shockingly horrific it would get.
