They live and breathe for Roe v Wade being overturned. They've put every roadblock possible in front of access to abortion in all of the states. They've barred federal contracts w/businesses that perform abortions or promote them. They've cut funding to Planned Parenthood. Heck, they don't even want birth control pills because technically that's homicide.

They're not joking about this. This will be taken up by the court, and the far-right court, unattached to politics directly, will overturn it. The several more liberal justice might as well not be there except for non-issue cases. Their decisions won't matter in all the key cases. The 5 Republicans will decide everything.

...the law will go to the supreme court, conservative justices will vote on whether its constitutional and not worry about the politics. Conservative judges have deeply held beliefs that they won't compromise for politics just like liberal judges do.

And there's 50 independent states which means there's 50 chances for a law to be passed. The national Republican party won't be able to stop it even if they wanted to.

I say, if you don't believe in abortion then don't have one. Alas, my sentiment isn't widely shared. Too many who don't believe in abortion believe that no one else should ever have one. And those people are growing in number.

If they want to induce the rapture or go to heaven...Lock yourselves in a big building and burn it down. The rest of us prefer to live the life we've promised each other, and worked to have, right here on earth. The only life we will ever know. (And they know it as well.)

Seems about to get drowned in a bathtub.
Why do repubs hate our country so much that everything has to be changed? I didn't hear them during the election saying "everything needs to be changed"...Matter of fact dt said he was going to protect our institutions, and had he been honest, even the redneck neighbors wouldn't have voted for him.
Hillary is the President. Considering we took a beating defending her and Obama for decade upon decade...I'd like to hear from BOTH of them for some return on that. Where is her voice? President Obama?? Some soul food please. A few words of support?
Dismal day for people who think govt should serve and protect us, and I'm sorry for everyone who feels grim tonight.
We will re-fight every battle since FDR. Hope the younger generation has the stones to do it bc one generation has already fought it. I'll be looking on Sat. for the young faces. I hope they out number folks my age.
Let's all get some rest. Keep your chin up DU.

And you'll get to see "how real and caring the regular people are on the left"?

What people will be united with a far-right Supreme Court? The people on the right will unite with each other?

What "regular people on the left" are you referring to?

And women need to refuse to have sex with men based on their politics. It needs to come to that.
