1. Not everybody who voted for Trump was or is a Trumpist.

Some could not stomach the thought of Hillary Clinton (including some on the Left who wanted to punish Democrats for nominating her) and some were conservatives for whom the Supreme Court was important to them given its long term impact on our laws and society and they did not want to see a Democrat nominate justices.
Given Trump's small popular vote victory margin in 3 states it would not take many of them to provide his electoral victory along with those on the Left who chose not to vote or voted 3rd party. (Wouldn't it be nice if some of those millions of votes for Clinton in California could have been transferred to Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania? But evidently our presidential electoral process doesn't work that way.)

The hardcore Nazis never regretted voting for or supporting Hitler anymore than the hardcore Trumpists regret voting for and supporting him.
