(109,023 posts)The majority of Democratic Senators and the overwhelming majority of female Democratic Senators.
And their bright line in the sand might have helped keep Roy Moore out of the Senate.
So that is about the least significant thing you could have said about her.

(1,443 posts)but after seeing the lengthy interview with his accuser Leann Tweeden on television, its not hard to see why he was forced out. Tweeden is a very credible and believable person. Not some right-wing operative who was out to get him.
Which is not in anyway bashing Franken. Telling the truth about someone or something they did is not bashing them. Tweeden even emphasized that she never wanted to see his career ended.

(3,635 posts)it was a Roger Stone hit-job, pure and simple.
Actor and comedian Tom Arnold claimed that the woman who was first to accuse Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., of sexually assaulting her was "coached."
In a series of tweets Wednesday night, Arnold said that Los Angeles-based radio broadcaster Leeann Tweeden's allegations were the result of a political attack involving longtime Trump confidante Roger Stone.
"Im disappointed with my friend Leeann Tweedon [sic]," he said. "Her partner at KABC John Phillips is a Roger Stone pal & they coached her for weeks to bring Al Franken down. Id hoped shed use her voice to speak out for all women again predators like Roy Moore & Donald Trump but shes a birther."
John Phillips is a CNN political commentator and right-leaning radio talk show host at the same station, KABC, as Tweeden.

(1,443 posts)were they all lying? It wasn't just Tweeden. I don't think he should have resigned, but there was probably no way Franken could have remained in his job in the face of such tremendous pressure, during the height of the #metoo movement and Harvey Weinstein scandal. What else could he do? It was a losing battle.
btw, Washington Examiner is not a credible source.
