House of Trump is outdoing House of Cards as a depiction of cynical power-seeking and corruption; the difference is that the Underwoods were evil, but not stupid.

Those who are ate up with the Dunning-Kruger not only overestimate their own competence, but also tend to think subordinates who are incompetent are the competent ones.
