From my state.
But, Jimmy, please dont waste your prayers on Trump.
Pray for Mueller to find the proper evidence to bring Trump to justice.

(1,701 posts)I would be surprised if he isn't. Carter is a very good man. I do disagree with him, however, about impeaching Trump. I hope that Mueller will have so strong a case against Trump that there will be overwhelming public outrage if Congress doesn't act. I know that there is a percentage of the population that will support Trump no matter what, but that is a minority.

His signature issues has always been the promotion of human rights. As he said in the interview, there are times that placing sanctions on the worst of the worst results in making life even worse for an already suffering and starving people - like North Korea.
He went to North Korea in 1994 on behalf of the Clinton administration and, with his background in nuclear engineering, negotiated an agreement with Kim Il-sung which SoS Madeline Albright successfully continued with his son, Kim Jong-il. It held until 2002 when George Bush* violated it with his Axis of Evil announcement and it's been downhill ever since.
