Calls To Purge DOJ & FBI Are 'Nuts'

Fmr. Ethics Attorney for Pres. George W. Bush Richard Painter says that Republicans who say the DOJ & FBI need to be purged are either in safe GOP districts so they can 'mouth off,' or they're 'nuts.'

4. Someone needs to ask Rooney to define his terms.

"Purge" means what? Remove from the investigation? Reassigned to a different department? Fired from any government job? Indicted? Jailed? Dare I ask, executed?

Who should be purged? Anyone who said anything against Trump? Anyone who voted for someone other than Trump? Anyone who contributed to the campaign of anyone other than Trump? Anyone who ever voted for a party other than Republican? Anyone whose significant other has been disloyal?

Does he suggest loyalty oaths? If so, loyalty to Constitution and rule of law? Country? Party? Trump?

When some pin-head makes a sweeping dramatic pronouncement, we need to make them describe in detail their plan to carry out their proposal. Otherwise its just so much hot air and should be exposed for pandering. I'm sick of letting them frame the issues and the press letting them go unchallenged.
