Donald Trump's tweet about firing Michael Flynn, which his attorney John Dowd stated he wrote, and Dowd's comment that the president cannot obstruct justice is shocking Washington for another day.

The fact that the Trump administration is making these arguments is to me a definite indication that they intend to
ignore or perhaps dissolve the Constitution. There can be no other end game for making those lines of reasoning.

And, as the pundits are noting, the deplorables keep move their trenches to deeper in the swamp. They are wounded, cornered, and they know it.

It started as an election integrity issue, but now it's about our whole system of government. Our sovereignty has been violated.
Reagan told us he won the Cold War, the Soviets were defeated, but Putin was KGB and the Soviet system didn't so much as go away as change hands, from central state commissars and politburo elites running the state to selling off the assets to oligarchs, some of whom were the same guys. We tried to being democracy to eastern Europe now our system is under attack.
Once the Congress GOP gets what it wants in tax cuts, culture war, public assets, they will move past Trump and defend their booty with patriotism. Happens every time.
