By planting unqualified individuals in key positions with agencies that were created to protect consumers, citizens, and individuals against those with power. The practice didn't work for George W. Bush (who will ever forget Michael "Heck of a job, Brownie" Brown, the incompetent fool who disgraced FEMA?), and it won't work for Trump. But I'm just mystified why so many who support Trump and the conservatives can't see that these appointments will hurt their interests. Good to see Senator Whitehouse hold Ms. White accountable for her utter lack of understanding of key issues affecting the post for which she was nominated.

Just like every other nominee Cheeto Jesus has given us. Al Franken (or was it Bernie?) pretty much faced Betsy DeVos down on this issue by asking did she even think she would have been nominated for the post if she hadn't been a huge donor, but that has to be done wa-a-a-a-y more often. After she stumbled all over that question, Whitehouse should have flat out asked her exactly how she was qualified to lead this department.
