And then there are the true believers. There is no help for them.

(1,896 posts)Sympathy, true believers, and "but her emails" aside, the "I always vote Republican because I always vote Republican" crowd is taking a real pounding right now.

(12 posts)Here I am watching CNN and MSNBC to empathize with fellow Americans going thru hell, and instead I could be using this time searching for data to criticize Trump. Man, I'm such a crappy democrat. I'm using a national crisis to learn about how I can help others instead of taking the opportunity to bash Trump. I should turn in my DU card.

(8,652 posts)How about all the other people in America Trump is causing pain to.
Trump didn't wait for the disaster to subside to pardon sheriff joe or repeal DACA.
We have to help all of America, all the time.

(12 posts)My bad. I took a moment from watching the chaos on CNN and checked out one of my daily reads, DU. And rather than returning to my TV, I spent 15 seconds pointing out to the DU audience that today might not be the day to focus on bashing Trump. But you're right. We've done so well in recent elections, we should absolutely double down on our Anti-Trump strategy, especially in times of turmoil. I apologize for doubting you.

(100,129 posts)Donald Trump is just a byproduct of the Fox News machine. He even tweets at Fox & Friends and Sean Hannity directly!
The damage Fox, with help from right wing talk radio, has done is incalculable. Over time it all has brainwashed susceptible millions to believe in an alternate truly fake reality.

(43,447 posts)what will our political and legal cohesiveness and uniformity be like in 2 years?
governments are being vivisected - conflicting federal factions and parties, states going in
different directions, local governments functioning fairly well with pockets of inconsistency.
Where is this going?
