Though out of date, this video is timeless in its analysis of the American right wing. We miss you George!

1. What I wouldn't give to have George still with us.

Times like these were made for George Carlin.

2. George was a great philosopher.

He had several memorable routines -- Football vs. Baseball, Reducing the Ten Commandments, A Place for your Stuff, Words you can't say on TV, etc.

In keeping with the upcoming eclipse, here is his comment on "Son of God" taken from his book, "Brain Droppings":
"I've begun worshipping the sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike other gods I could mention, I can see the sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, a lovely day. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. And interestingly enough, I have found that the prayers I offer to the sun and the prayers I formerly offered to "God" are all answered at about the same 50-percent rate."

4. agree - George Carlin will be listened to 100 years from now IF...

that hasn't been made a crime by Trump and his Republican acolytes. He was the Will Rogers of his time.

His unique brand of comedy can't be replicated without the same energy and style. George was one of a kind.
