Kazakhstan seeks greater role as NATO supply route



During those 7 months, NATO trucks were reliant on routes through former Soviet republics such as Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

But the routes are also part of a grander Washington vision - a New Silk Route that could rehabilitate Afghanistan into a regional economy.
