Violates the DU's new rules.
BooScout
(10,406 posts)It's not violating any rule....new or old.

Why exactly should a post that consists entirely of Video and Multimedia not be in the V&M group? It would seem that you're making up new rules and applying them only to one side,
Rules apply to everyone, not just the "other" side, and not in ways that you and only you determine.

(13,783 posts)... of the kind of cherry picking that goes on from Hillary's response to a complex world. I'm glad Bernie has brought the income gap to such a center stage, but I'm sure glad we don't have to depend on his black and white view of the world.
Actually, I'm being generous to call this cherry picking. Phrased this way it pretty much works out to be lies.

(643 posts)It's funny/sad, when you list actual issues there is no contradiction from HRC supporters and yet they continue to roll right along, thinking she is the better candidate. It's almost like the Trump phenomenon in that regard. Different policies, but same response to the facts; they don't seem to matter. I mean, how else do you look at that list and just go on with the "I think she is a good leader", "she has the experience" or whatever common phrase we see?
KPN
(15,642 posts)they are neoliberal/Third Wayer (I dunno, sure seems like these are DINOs fro the standpoint of traditional democratic party p[rinciples), or single social issue driven.

Really an accomplishment to be so successful when it's not small in numbers, extremely homogeneous, and rather unified in political ideology.

(799 posts)but there is a whole lot of truth that is left out of it. The truth left out is what leaves me less than impressed, in fact depressed, (KPN's post has a great list) but I see it as good fluff for the committed followers.

(213 posts)With her accomplishments. I'm on the board of the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School Austin and having met Marian Wright Edelman I've learned what great work the CDF has done over the years. I feel a real kinship with Hillary Clinton as her efforts to make children's lives better has never waivered!

(1,901 posts)offered on this site. Even the lunatics pasting the OMG she didn't bring about a whole laundry list of things like world peace and a cure for cancer, thus she must be evil for not using her magical powers, waving a wand and sprinkling unicorn fairy dust and simply making things so, like their fantasy candidate (who's been in the halls of power with the ability and the platform to actually make headway there for 25 years)!

(6,282 posts)She has achieved a great deal of progress for women and I am sure is admired for that reason. I also felt the strings pull at my heart for a bit (I was born just before the Clinton presidency began so I do not remember it), and it is an excellent history lesson.
I still will not vote for her. I put policy and character before personality.

(37,449 posts)Interesting she was responsible for getting the military to accept responsibility for agent orange. As First Lady Hillary Clinton became a strong advocate for the first full investigation into the damage caused to many veterans by the chemical Agent Orange, and prompted congressional action on their behalf. And beyond to the victims where the toxin was sprayed. I'd bet many Veterans don't know.
http://ncronline.org/blogs/ncr-today/hillary-clinton-vietnam-dealing-legacy-agent-orange
She was the advocate for the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation & its Reauthorization Act, for those suffering from illness and cancers related to responding to the twin towers.
Finally it was her agenda to promote women's issues around the globe as a condition of accepting the SOS job, that POTUS agreed to.
BooScout
(10,406 posts)So many have bought into the conste RW smears about her over the years that they will blame her for anything and everything. That she has been able to accomplish so much despite all the hate and rhetoric aimed at her for three decades never ceases to amaze me. I know of no one else who has been attacked so relentlessly and rather than run away....she's faced it, fought it, and in fact thrived and accomllished so much it is AMAZING!
