From the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle Church in Greensburg, Indiana, a little boy sings, to thunderous applause.
Words truly fail...

(168 posts)I believe that regardless, if you're saved, you're going to Heaven (I remember being taught that in Sunday School as a teenager). I don't think it matters who you love I attend church with a few gay couples, and I believe that they'll go to Heaven.
I also believe that God doesn't spew hatred like in the video...only the devil does.

(135 posts)This is why kids turn out to be bullies. They are taught and egged on by parents and friends. This type of atmosphere encourages violence against gay people.

(20,226 posts)I don't care what people hold in their religious beliefs. Even if they want to believe that all sex outside of traditional marriage is a sin - they are free to believe that if they want to. I think they are wrong. But this isn't even about that. It is mean spirited and hateful. Religous music is supposed to be songs of praise to God. This isn't that. Would someone write a song about how Muslims and Jew are not going to heaven? I'm sure they believe that too. This is mean. Just plain mean. And the cheering is chilling.

Even better:
1 Corinthians 6:11 - 12
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
I'm no theologian, not even a Christian. I just find that 9 times out of 10, if you look at what comes immediately before and/or after a quote, you'll get a good laugh.

(9,897 posts)Its people like that congregation of jackals that make me certain any "god" who would hear their prayers of hatred and exclusion is unworthy of worship in any sense of the word. This planet would be an infinitely better place without religions that preach such hatred and ignorance and especially those who infect the minds of the young in such a reprehensible way.

No doubt the parents or those that directed these children thought that they could mask their bigotry with their children. Hiding their hate behind kids that do not any better...
