It said that they decided that growth was the path that was needed, not austerity. This will save many lives.

I'm also impressed how the President appeared to use the opportunity of the intimate setting of Camp David to engage these world leaders on a one on one basis; most notably engaging with Merkel and Hollande.

3. I believe this has always been his vision. When he was derided for not shutting

Down the government to resist the re-authorization of the Bush tax cuts, the reason was to save homeowners and the unemployed from being put out on the street.

He included a poison pill for the tax cuts that will hit this year, which is why the Kochroaches desperately want Obama defeated. Often we cannot measure a person not by qualities that we may never know, but by the quality of their enemies.

As far as the compromises he made, they were for the life of many people. Many of the unemployed were homeowners as well and needed time to get assistance or reorganize their lives.

People have talked about the raise in the retirement age which was set in place decades ago, as if it was Obama's plan. He set a change into place to protect the very people some are worried about and call him heartless for ignoring in this change, which he did not make in the first place. This goes into his eternal balance sheet, if one believes in such things, because he does not get the credit for what he does, so has his reward despite the charge that he is now in 'campaign mode' when he never stopped being the candidate he was in 2008. What he has done was not reported, as all media sources are right wing and extreme right wing and are paid to divert attention away from the facts on the ground. Instead they created a false reality that keeps people coming back, too afraid to not come back and find a new reason to fight.

But even the GOP has noticed the changes in the social security, while Democrats did not. Obama set the bar lower for older people taking their pension earlier for health reasons, including a waiver for compassionate relief. This is not in the media, it's in real life. People who have benefited don't talk about it because they've learned from the news that they are going to be stigmatized by the GOP and Tea Party for getting the benefits.

There are many things being done quietly to save lives and protect rights, such as prison protection. This has been decried by the GOP as being soft on illegals and to get their votes for elections. All of actions of his administration have been distorted and so he's still working, but never gets any credit.

He's reasoning with these people at the G8. These meetings are set up many months in advance and have to take into account the schedules of all these world leaders in order to all be together at the same time. Yet we've had Obama called a coward for not going to the NATO meeting in Chicago. The pout rage is based on the emotionalism the right wing has used to force information past our frontal lobes and go straight to the subconscious and reflex part of the brain. Often we are basing our arguments on right wing talking points. We need to repossess the language and the message.
