Did anyone else notice that there was a cool cop there before the asshole cop started brutalizing?

Let me point out that in this infamous pool party incident, the first cop is totally professional, polite, and is talking to the teenagers in a normal conversation (about 30 seconds into the vid) before the bad cop suddenly starts brutalizing

Let me also point out that the bad cop was forced to resign soon after this incident.

This is worth a read:

I'm a black ex-cop, and this is the real truth about race and policing

The asshole was a corporal and an FTO. If somebody like that is in a supervisory position, it speaks Chakab Jul 2015 #3

I also noticed that when the jerk cop showed up they all stepped aside and let him do his crazy dance. They obviously all know that this guy is whacked but have to let him have the rope he needed to hang himself. Which finally, in this instance, he did.

Often remarked on, but never explained that I've heard. The kids WERE a little mouthy, an attitude that I, a teacher of teenagers for many years, including some semi "delinquent," and "at risk" kids grew used to. Learning to deal with these kids is part of teachers' education and not always absorbed even there. Many cops, especially local ones, should have more training in this area. Kids having increasingly less respect for authority began with attitudes toward teachers, but inevitably seems to have spread to an attitude toward cops. The idea of showing respect to adults lingers with many cops, I'm sure (Wow ! how unreasonable). My own daughter and many other kids continue to be raised showing respect to authority: but they recognize unfair treatment and know the ways to handle things later. Getting "in the face" of someone with a power complex rarely has a good result. I was reminded hearing only the audio of the Sandra Bland tragedy. Too few kids in recent years have been trained at home with parents that have the time, to be cool (not snotty) with obviously overbearing authority figures and the way to combat unfair treatment later ( and no, not a lawsuit, just the time to find options).
