No doubt you've seen the Obama/Biden ad suggesting Mitt Romney wouldn't have made the call to take out Osama bin Laden. So what's a Republican candidate to do when their terrorism credentials are being questioned?
Question: Does standing next to Rudy Giuliani and the firehouse help Romney at all?

(62,325 posts)warnings that NYC was a prime target for terror. I remember him on New Year's Eve 2000, when the Intel Community thought there would be an attack, going on the media and dismissing them. I asked my girlfriend not to go to Times Sq that night anyhow, she came out to our house. Nothing happened that night, but later it was revealed that that night was considered for an attack.
He also stupidly and against all advice built the command bunker in Bldg 7 everyone who was an expert on security tried to stop him from doing that. But bully that he is, he did not listen. As a result, there was no command center accessible that day and that is why people saw him wandering, dazed, around NYC finally realizing the huge error he had made.
NYC Firemen blame him for the deaths of their over 300 colleagues because he refused to respond to their request for equipment that worked. He would not return the faulty equipment he had purchased and as a result on that fateful day, they could not communicate with each other. That resulted in hundreds of them going to their deaths.
If Romney is turning to the worst person in the country when it comes to security for help, that ought to be more than enough reason not to vote for him.
Giuliani should have been prosecuted for negligence for what happened that day. I could not believe when the propaganda machine turned him into a false hero. And he has not stopped profiting from it ever since.
He also nearly let another terror attack occur in the subways. Fortunately that was stopped in time. That man should not be trusted to babysit for an evening, let alone with the security of this country. His Chief of Police, also for a while, passing himself off as a 9/11 hero, was no such thing and ended up in jail for corruption. But not before George Bush asked him to the head of Homeland Security.
